Since 1962

Every day we grind, roast, taste and evaluate our coffee, this is how our perfect blends are invented, using traditional techniques inherited from our ancestors.

Since day one, from the small roastery founded by Giuseppe Poli, we have honored tradition by choosing to produce our coffee using the slow roasting method.

An authentic method that helps protect the richness of each grain. This choice, made in 1962 after 62 years, is still respected.

Today the company is a dynamic company, well established in Italy and 44 other foreign countries.

Quality

Our quality inspectors as well as our experienced sommeliers carefully check the organoleptic properties and taste of each espresso in order to offer unique and consistent coffee blends. We proceed to package and sell the coffee only if the blend responds positively to all quality controls as well as the highest quality standards imposed by our company.

Ethics

STRONG WOMAN = STRONG COFFEEViolence against women is often fueled by discrimination and gender inequality. To give dignity and value to women's work and contribute to the emancipation of women coffee producers around the world, at Caffè Poli we have decided to support the International Women's Coffee Alliance Italia as founding members: equity, sustainability and women's empowerment are our goals.

Ecology

Ten years ago, we made a commitment: to make our company more sustainable.

Roasters produce large amounts of heat, why waste it? We have structured a heat recovery system to exploit all available energy. We power our roasting exclusively with the energy obtained from the solar panels installed on the roof, saving 700 g of CO2 for each kWh produced. We do not throw anything away: even the silver film (coffeesilverskin) that covers the raw coffee bean is used as fuel to generate biogas.

Sustainability

We have installed a heat recovery system from the chimneys of our roasting plant: the heat generated, properly conveyed, allows us to heat the water used to integrate the heating of our offices.

In addition, we have decided to equip our roasting plant with a "briquette machine" for coffee shells: instead of being thrown away, the coffee bean waste is treated and compacted and transformed into biogas, a renewable and green energy source.
